    Because I am still proudly phoneless in 2026, the politics of everyday texting and their inevitable head games (humans are going to human no matter the communications medium, right?) literally fly right over my head on the cellular radio waves. Therefore I am pleased to be able to reserve my bandwidth and monthly data plan for Aoife's favoured version of 'head games'!

        It's easy when I never stopped living analog when I'm out and about! Sometimes I think the world has forgotten that it was normal and unremarkable to live this way as recently as the early-2000s. Who knows, maybe Gen Z and Alpha who understand digital burnout might go part-time analog - we've seen this with the advent of 'new' dumb phones and a resurgence of tactile physical media like cassettes and vinyl records.

          I agree with digital burnout, I just find there are so many things now that require verification by phone, or that you use an app, etc. It's annoying!
