This was the option most listeners chose - that he decides to ask for her advice, about a girl he likes...

As you know, I improvise all these audios, and in this case, I wasn't happy with the first take I did, so I had to go back and re-record and re-edit. That, and the length of this audio, means I didn't bother with the other two options.

I recorded this outdoors for some real ambience, and I did my very best to keep wind noises to a minimum. There are a few places that I couldn't avoid it though, so I hope you don't mind.

And lastly, this audio changes point of view a little bit, usually a no-no in writing but I think it's okay in this situation. It starts out from a third person perspective, where you can hear a conversation with her friend, and dips back into third person at the end, but in the middle, it's second person, meaning you are right in the action, you're the one being spoken to.

I'm binge listening this series and it's so damned fantastic. I absolutely love the long duration and slow build. Your voice and the pacing is soothing like good ASMR. Sometimes I listen at night in bed to help relax (and then of course listen again the next day to catch what I missed after falling asleep). I can't get enough.

Thank you so much! I love doing series like this, and I'm delighted when people enjoy it xx

Wow, this was such a roller coaster! And your voice drove me crazy (in a good way)! You sound so casual at the beginning, like we were friends for forever! But as the conversation wanders over to the jealousy over the "friend"...your voice had the tiniest trembles and quivers, I felt like such a jerk for playing games with your feelings! When I could hear the nervous laughs and sniffles, I was so sure the master plan totally backfired!

But when I heard the phone call at the end, it was such a relief and i was so happy! It actually worked! Now, to drop hints on "Stay With Me"...ahem, "so what was the inspiration for Chapter 9... ?" ;)

haha you go ahead and drop those hints MWL! :P

It sure is important to know about the rules and no-no's because they do serve as a helpful set of boundaries to neophytes who are all too susceptible to acquiring bad habits. But as a quote by Picasso goes, "Know the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist." By switching the POVs mid-scene, and emotional states, as other fine commenters have already observed, you exhibit a polished finesse in your chosen craft.

I did not look at the length of this audio at the beginning, so I didn't realize the better part of an hour had passed, so organic and smooth was the flow of events that it felt shorter than it was! I thought that the advice parts were more than a subtle wink to Eve's Guide, and it is plain to see how much more attuned women are to non-verbal cues and body language, that second layer of communication that makes a lot of us regular guys feel out of our depth. :P

    • A Eve on 2019-02-27 22:51:59 (UTC)

Thank you Charlie! I tend to agree, in general women seem much more attuned to things like that. Maybe this can help guys figure it out a bit better.

Hey Eve how are you? I love to listen your audios. I really enjoy these. Waiting for the next part. I have a request for you. I am thinking about a topic like HATERS TO LOVERS / RIVALS TO LOVERS (EROTIC TYPE YOU KNOW🤭) . Will you please think about it? Reply please. AND I AM SENDING YOU WARM HUGS AND LOTS OF LOVE.🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗💖💖💖💖💖💖 THANK YOU.

That's a great idea! I'll definitely do something along those lines 💋

I've thought about Eve making an audio like this. She's made a few where the woman is a little combative or confrontational, but I'm not aware of this exact scenario among her present oeuvre. (I trust she'll point us to it if we are mistaken!)

It has a lot of potential: two people with a long contentious history discover that their old bonds of enmity have transformed unnoticed into bonds of deep affection. They cross paths, decide to air their respective grievances, and realize that each imagined trespass is a misunderstood moment, a piece of history that only these two share. If someone could produce such a work, it'd be Our Girl Eve.

haha you're right, I would point you to it if I had done it, but alas, I haven't! It's a great idea though, I will definitely do this.

I love what this most-voted path implies about our silent protagonist. He meets subtlety with subtlety; plays by her rules and makes them his own; keeps the romance on a low slow simmer. He's a real cool cat. And we get to BE him.

I hope that in the next audio the protagonists consent to a kind of collaborative charade, maintaining the fiction of their respective love interests throughout the scene while pursuing their true courtship by means of pure subtext.

    This is so good!

I love hearing ideas from listeners, especially when they align with what I was thinking of 😋. I'm so glad you're enjoying it, I am too! xox

Since words have failed to describe what I listened to, allow me to describe it using emojis: 😊😯🤔😔🥺🥰

This was fantastic Eve! The range of emotions you convey is incredible! You made me laugh hard, be genuinely concerned when she almost cried and then happy again at the end, all while being totally immersed in the story.

This was simply perfect! You are amazing Eve! 😘

    • A Eve on 2019-02-04 21:07:41 (UTC)

Thank you so much! I wanted to incorporate a lot of different emotions in here, I'm glad all the feels got you :P

Aaaaaargh! I want these two together sooooo badly! Don't get me wrong, I love the story so far and very much enjoy that these CYOA stories are longer in form. I just want to know that these to get a happy ending (pun, I suppose, acknowledged if not necessarily intended), even if he is "being this devious, seductive little shit." Great line.

Your acting, as always is -- as your King George might say -- "top drawer." I appreciate the ambient noise, as well. It allows the situation to feel more concrete, more grounded. Similarly, the POV shift works very well here. It adds to the drama to get the additional perspective with her talking on the phone to her friend. It was a lot of fun to hear that part of the story and gave me my favorite line of the whole thing: "I think he was talking about... me." Just fantastic. I can't wait until the next chapter.

Thank you so much! I'm delighted you enjoyed it! I'm having a ball with these!

  • ReindeerFlotilla on 2019-02-03 01:27:27 (UTC)

That was just amazing Eve. When she (you?) almost started crying my heart started to melt. Plus I think you gave some good advice in this as a bonus. You probably don't want to make this series your life's work but it could really go the distance. Dates, marriage, having kids. I've never read a romance novel but I could easily imagine them being something like this. And if they are then I might have been misjudging them.

Anyway like I said just amazing. I genuinely want this to go as slow as possible.

    • A Eve on 2019-02-04 21:06:48 (UTC)

Aw, I do as well. And most modern romance novels are more like this than not - of course you have to find the best authors, but most deal with ups and downs of people trying to get through things and get together. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

This was wonderful. The emotional arc of this part was fantastic. Made me almost cry with happiness at the end. grins :) I agree with you that the change in voices fits this type of story great.

Thank you Sir Fap! I'm very happy I re-did it, the first one didn't end up this way. And it was nice to see you last night on Instagram, I think I may have called you Sir Fap and I hope I didn't embarrass you! At least no one knows it was you specifically I meant!

      • FallenKnight71 on 2019-02-02 21:29:22 (UTC)

M'KindLady Eve, Actually you calling me that made me smile. :D My nick is something I picked but that name is something you gave me and I hold it dear. (smiles) I was very lucky to have seen you going on live. You were my very first Instagram Live chat I have ever done. You broke my cherry m'lady and it was wonderful. (winks and grins) Can't wait to vote on the next chapter of this and see how it goes.

        • A Eve on 2019-02-04 21:05:52 (UTC)

Well I'm glad to have been your first! I'm thinking of doing Live videos only on Only Fans from now on, the Instagram version is a bit too overwhelming. There's an audio on OF now talking a bit about it.
