As requested, here is chapter one of this amazing legend, written by Sir Thomas Malory in 1469. It is written in English, despite the (grammatically incorrect) French title.

The English is a little unusual in places, but considering it's nearly 550 years old, it's amazing it makes as much as sense to our modern ears as it does.

For those who don't know, this is essentially the story of King Arthur, beginning with his conception.

English was my strongest subject in high school. Classical Literature and Legends were subjects that were(and still are!)dear to my heart. But hearing you read from King Arthur, beautiful Queen-that is an honor and a gift! Thank you💖

Thank you so much! It's dear to my heart too, I'm so glad there are people who enjoy hearing this kind of work.

Good choice! Is this a one-off or are you planning on continuing this book? I've always been fascinated by these tales so any Knights of the round table stuff would be good for me. Anything from Sir Thomas Malory to Monty Python!! xxx.

Yes, I am going to attempt to read the whole thing, chapter by chapter! Oh, and I agree with you on the Monty Python! :p

I don't think I would have picked up this book on my own, but your voice makes the Old English sound a little more entrancing and mystical. Interested in languages as I am, I like hearing the way they would phrase some things, like the "humble brag" in the end saying that he would get the most out of us two meeting... :P
