Kudos for showing your free spirit to record this in a real grocery store :) Pretty awesome!

Today is World Listening Day, and what better way to celebrate than to listen to a saucy voicemail from the grocery store. So, if Love Bites were a food, what would they be? I'm thinking cookies and cream ice cream in a milk chocolate shell. Or, OR, like cake balls, which is cake and frosting mashed up into a ball sized ball. Mmm, Love Bites.

    • A Eve on 2017-07-19 10:38:17 (UTC)

OH wow, cake balls are a thing? Why don't I have some in front of me right now?

And World Listening Day...wonderful idea! I have a few things people could listen to!

Well Miss Eve I don't know what was sexier you describing what you wanted to do or you just reading the grocery list, either way they were both Hot 🔥 and I'll never look at sauces the same way again, I don't think I could have left work fast enough. Thank you.

    • A Eve on 2017-07-19 10:38:40 (UTC)

haha yes, I'm very saucy :P

  • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-17 01:48:19 (UTC)

Mmmm.... Gouda! I got some this morning just because of your sexy voicemail! Nobody should ever look askance at this 'cheesophile' slurping and moaning in the cheese section with her alimentary fetish deliberately arrayed so invitingly before her! 🧀🧀😋

    • A Eve on 2017-07-17 09:28:18 (UTC)

haha yes, I'm a cheesatarian - although I'm trying hard to be vegan most days. It's the cheese that gets me, every damn time...

      • billymacorbuddy on 2017-07-21 02:27:23 (UTC)

I've never actually known a vegan, or a vegetarian, now that I think about it. I know that being such takes special attention to diet so that you get the essential amino acids. So I have to ask, what are the staples in your diet? You must eat lentils or legumes on a regular basis, how do you keep from getting bored of them?

        • A Eve on 2017-07-21 17:34:07 (UTC)

Wow, I had a whole answer typed out and forgot to post it. :D

I don't eat lentils, but I do eat peanuts/peanut butter. As Charlie said, I get the essential proteins I need from a peanut butter sandwich. I also eat a lot of soy, quinoa and chia. But I'm not vegan yet so I also eat eggs and dairy, which give me a lot too. I have protein shakes every other day, and I eat Quorn - see Charlie's comment below.

          • billymacorbuddy on 2017-07-21 18:57:19 (UTC)

Ah, I forgot about quinoa and chia. I have never heard of Quorn. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it next time I'm at the store. Occasionally I have a vegetarian day where I'll eat pasta or big salads, but I don't know if I could do it long term. As it is now, I eat fish more than anything, wild caught, if I can get it on sale.

            • A Eve on 2017-07-23 20:48:08 (UTC)

Even going vegetarian one day a week saves an enormous amount of animals, or so I've heard. Thank you for whatever effort you make, I appreciate it 💋

        • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-21 15:46:18 (UTC)

Hi Billy, if I may venture an answer, I know things like soy and quinoa offer complete protein in a vegetarian diet. Buckwheat which can be eaten as Japanese cold soba noodles also gives you the nine essential amino acids. More familiarly, I hear eating a sandwich of whole wheat bread and peanut butter also works too.

I really want to try this mycoprotein thing called Quorn my sister told me about when she was studying in England. It looks exactly like ground meat and I'd love to try it in things like pasta sauce and homemade burritos, but unfortunately it seems to be presently banned by Health Canada.

          • A Eve on 2017-07-21 17:31:22 (UTC)

Quorn is banned by Health Canada?? I eat it all the time! It's fantastic

            • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-21 17:57:26 (UTC)

I don't know the details but it's something to do with accounts of allergenic reactions to mycoprotein. Now that I've done a bit more digging, I see there's contradictory info on this. Quorn says it was approved by Health Canada as safe. Info on this is spotty so I can't be sure but I know I haven't seen Quorn at any local supermarket.

From what I can see of it on Google Image, it looks tasty! Chili sans slaughterhouses, hormones and potential for listeria contamination, I can get behind that for sure. :) For now I have Yves Veggie Cuisine if I want a meat substitute.

              • A Eve on 2017-07-21 18:28:11 (UTC)

That's what I miss most about Canada - Yves veggie burgers. I brought home 16 of them in my suitcase :P (they're all gone now :P)

      • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-18 22:36:24 (UTC) (edited)

While the strictness of veganism will never be for me, I can respect the decision of others who choose to pursue it. The closest I'm likely to get is a hybrid of part-time vegetarian with a pescatarian bent for animal protein. As I said on Reddit I was forced to stop drinking milk but some dairy like the Gouda I can eat without ill effect. The biggest changes for the better I've made in my diet was cutting out acidic, sugary sodas and carcinogenic BBQ (still miss steak sometimes). After the WHO's indictment of processed meats I tried cutting those out completely but failed - ham is just too tasty in a homemade crumpet sandwich! - but I've since moderated what used to be a daily consumption. I sport a trimmer waistline today most likely because of these choices.

Best of luck in your quest to go vegan. I think your gradual approach is best. The Internet is littered with anecdotes of unsuccessful vegans who tried to go all-out cold turkey from day one, which sounds like a sure-fire recipe for failure for many.

Many cheeses are rich in tryptophan, the essential nutrient from which the body makes serotonin. Might help explain why, for some people, it is a comfort food that eases down days a bit, and is satisfying on others as well. I feel grateful to cows, goats, or sheep for this. Good wishes in doing what fits for you :)

        • A Eve on 2017-07-18 19:04:55 (UTC)

Yes, there are lots of 'feel good' things about dairy, because nature wants the baby to want to nurse from its mother, it makes sense. I just can't bear the way the animals are treated, especially separating calves from their mothers, and I really want to stop supporting that whole industry. It will likely take me a long time to transition, and in the meantime I use organic and free range as much as I can.

          • Jeffsortairish on 2017-07-18 20:11:11 (UTC)

In my early 20s, I struggled with ethical aspects and was nearly vegan for awhile. It seemed to help initially but didn't work out for my health long-term. So I focused on an intent of what was balanced for me (no on milk, yes on some cheese/meat, lots of dark leafy greens, etc). I felt good about organic and free range when affordable/available. Especially the free range part, as I felt better imagining animals having happy moments during their lives - able to roam in grass and sunshine, find their own space, visit with other animals (once saw goats and a pig at a small local farm that got along great). I made peace with my individual answers by also having an attitude of gratitude toward the spirit life within animals, which I feel isn't lost when biological form is. To this day, I still enjoy greeting a pig, goat, or cow if they look like they're trying to say hi. Again, I wish you well in doing what feels right for you, Eve, it's clear you have a caring heart.

            • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-18 22:43:58 (UTC)

I learned way back in school that the indigenous peoples of my country share your attitude towards the animals they consume for sustenance, and it translates into a respect that does not allow for any part of an animal to be wasted, and for responsible stewardship of the land that supports them. It's great to hear you've found your own balance Jeff.

              • Jeffsortairish on 2017-07-19 02:44:57 (UTC) (edited)

Thanks for the kind words Charlie. Yes, I value the idea of trying to find one's own balance :) If you were curious, I could list a few books where I had gleaned clues for my nutritional balancing. Or if you're feeling good with things now, or already have enough reading, no worries. I like the cheerfulness toward others and support for Eve (which I'm sure we'd agree she well deserves) that you bring to your commenting.

                • CharlieRomeoLima on 2017-07-21 13:59:51 (UTC)

Thank you for your offer Jeff; right now I feel like I have a reading backlog to get through. :P I'm still content to be an omnivore but I am working bit by bit to increase my vegetable intake as I get older, and replace other consumables like soap, etc. with cruelty-free options.

I looked up to you and other longtime regulars here as inspiration for coming out of lurking, because I could see the wonderful interaction here and wished to be a part of that. And you're right, Eve deserves our support absolutely after all she's freely shared with us. 😌

The realism of this audio is amazing eve! It's like I'm actually getting a call from you! I wish I had someone as horny as you are in this audio, who would call me and tell me how sexually charged they are. That would be a dream come true! Keep up the good work! :) Your audios are getting better and better! :)
